Hey, RotoBallers! I want to introduce myself formally, my name is Jon Irvin. Some of you may know me from the Discord channels and know I love breaking down DFS slates, especially in MLB and NHL. I enjoy the deep dumpster diving so to speak, and look forward to helping find the low owned overlooked and unwanted plays. I predominantly play on DraftKings so some of my picks are more tailored to their point/price system but a good spot is a good spot regardless of platform. By now, we have enough data to start focusing on positive and negative trends. I have started to implement my trend chart where I look at both L25 as well as L10 to help see which teams are trending in which direction.
Today's DFS content will be for the main slate for both DraftKings and FanDuel for Monday, December 4, 2023. Love starting the week with another six-game Monday slate, highlighted by the Pennsylvania interstate rivalry, as well as a chance of redemption for a Tampa Bay team that got bludgeoned by the Stars on Saturday.

NHL DFS Analysis and Picks for 12/04/23
As stated earlier, I have begun to implement my personal trend chart. Below, you'll see stats that reflect the average of L25 and L10. This happens to weigh L10 heavier, which tightens our sample and shows both positive and negative trends. Vegas looks to find itself in another great spot, following the chart, we see the Golden Knights have a significant mismatch in each key category. The Carolina Hurricanes also look to be coming in hot and facing a somewhat sluggish Winnipeg squad.
DraftKings and FanDuel Goalies - NHL DFS Picks
Jake Oettinger- DK $7.6K || FD $8.2K
Opponent - Tampa Bay Lightning
There doesn't look to be many great options at the bottom of the bargain bin today so let's go back to the well once again with a hot hand in Oettinger. After a brief cold spell, Jake looks to be back on his game, stopping 59 of the last 60 shots on net. He just faced and shut down these same Bolts this past Saturday and gets a $600 discount, albeit on the road.
Others to consider: Carter Hart (DK $7.3K || FD $7.4K)
DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NHL DFS Picks
Going to get really low and dirty with the value center of the day, this is the "She's All That Laney Boggs" edition. I'm taking the often overlooked fourth-line center and going to showcase his true skills, just like Freddie Prinze Jr. found us Rachael Leigh Cook.
Nicolas Roy- DK $3.0K || FD $4.1K
If you've been watching any Golden Knight games lately, you've heard Roy's name coming out of the announcers' name at an alarming clip. On home ice, he's been garnering as much 5v5 TOI as any other forward as well as a part of the PP2 unit. Roy is either leading or near the top of SCF, HDCF, as well as xGF. Tonight could be the night when the puck finally finds the back of the net.
Opponent - St. Louis Blues
Others to consider: Jordan Staal (DK $2.9K || FD $4.1K )
DraftKings and FanDuel Wings - NHL DFS Picks
William Carrier - DK $2.7K || FD $3.7K
Let's keep it cute and run Roy's linemate. Almost the same goes for Carrier tonight, his 5v5 TOI is admirable, as well as near the top in all the important categories. The only downfall for Carrier is the lack of time on either special team unit.
Opponent - St. Louis Blues
Andrei Svechnikov - DK $5.4K || FD $5.5K
Now this is a little high for our usual value wingers but Svechnikov is underpriced. Slowly getting back to form, Andrei finds himself still at a discount for the production we've come to expect.
Opponent - Winnipeg Jets
Others to consider: Jordan Eberle ( DK $4.3K || FD $4.7K)
DraftKings and FanDuel Defensemen - NHL DFS Picks
Thomas Harley - DK $3.5K || FD $4.6K
Usually I prefer to look under 3K for my value d-men but I can't ignore the recent success of the young Stars blueliner. Coming out of his three-game absence, Harley has turned in more minutes on ice as well as emergence on the PP2 unit. Harley offers both shots and blocks as well as coming off scoring in back-to-back games. His production will soon raise his price for sure.
Opponent - Tampa Bay Lightning
Others to consider: Will Borgen (DK $2.8K || FD $3.7K )
