ANALYSIS: Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert was a late-round draft pick this year. Many expected the veteran running back to lose the starting role because of injury or performance. However, he hasn’t missed a game this season. More importantly, Mostert has been outstanding for fantasy players.
He is the RB2 for the year, averaging 17.5 half-point PPR fantasy points. The veteran running back has 151 rushing attempts for 785 yards and 13 touchdowns, leading the NFL in rushing scores. Mostert also has 20 receptions for 158 receiving yards and two touchdowns this season.
Last week, the talented running back had 20 rushing attempts for 94 yards and two touchdowns in the win over the New York Jets. It was the first time he had two rushing touchdowns since Week 6. Furthermore, Mostert has recorded two or more rushing touchdowns in 36.4% of the games this year.
Meanwhile, he has an appealing matchup on Sunday against the Washington Commanders. They have surrendered 20.3 fantasy points per game to running backs this season, the 12th-most in the NFL. Furthermore, running backs have scored at least 27.4 fantasy points against Washington over the past three weeks.
