BALLER MOVE: Start in 12+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR2
ANALYSIS: Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton has been a pleasant surprise this season. Many expected Jerry Jeudy to have a breakout year after finishing the 2022 season playing well. Instead, Sutton has been the clear-cut No. 1 wide receiver in Denver. The former SMU star is the WR22 for the year, averaging 11.1 half-point PPR fantasy points per game.
Sutton had 48 receptions on 68 targets for 560 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. He has been a scoring machine, accounting for 40% of the Broncos’ receiving touchdowns this season. Furthermore, the veteran has the third-most receiving touchdowns in the NFL, behind Tyreek Hill (10) and Mike Evans (nine).
The former SMU star didn’t have a receiving touchdown last week, scoring only 7.6 fantasy points against the Cleveland Browns. However, Sutton had found the end zone in the previous five games and seven of the past eight contests.
Hopefully, he gets back in the end zone on Sunday against the Houston Texans. They have surrendered 25.9 fantasy points per game to wide receivers this year, slightly below the league average. However, the Texans have given up at least one receiving touchdown to wide receivers in three consecutive weeks.
