Jaylen Warren, George Pickens To Be Involved More
1 year agoWith the Pittsburgh Steelers firing offensive coordinator Matt Canada, quarterbacks coach Mike Sullivan will now be the team's play-caller and running backs coach Eddie Faulkner will essentially become the interim offensive coordinator moving forward. The new coaching structure will first and foremost focus on what quarterback Kenny Pickett is most comfortable with. They are expected to try and get the receivers involved quickly in Week 12 against the Cincinnati Bengals. Most importantly, they are expected to focus on getting the ball more to their star offensive players, specifically running back Jaylen Warren and wide receiver George Pickens. Warren has already been seeing more work alongside Najee Harris in Pittsburgh's backfield, but the Steelers also want to get Pickens going to spark what has been an underwhelming offense, to say the least.
