Kristaps Porzingis Will Have An MRI On Saturday
1 year agoBoston Celtics forward/center Kristaps Porzingis (calf) finished with nine points, four boards, and two steals in Friday's loss to the Orlando Magic. Unfortunately, the veteran logged only 22 minutes of work before exiting for the remainder of the contest due to a left calf issue. The team is optimistic the injury isn't "too serious," although he'll have an MRI on Saturday to determine the severity. Porzingis has played well in his first season with the Celtics, averaging 19.6 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.8 blocks, and a career-high 55.3% shooting from the field. Boston's next contest will occur on Sunday against the Atlanta Hawks. However, Porzingis could miss that one, considering his lengthy injury history. If he doesn't suit up, Al Horford could slide back into the starting lineup. At the same time, Luke Kornet, who had 12 points, six rebounds, two steals, and two blocks on Friday, could see streaming interest.
