White Sox Willing To Listen On Any Player
1 year agoThe Chicago White Sox have made it clear this offseason that they are willing to move any player in a trade as they look to rebuild. "I've made it very clear that the White Sox are willing to listen in on any of our players," first-year general manager Chris Getz said. Outfielder Luis Robert Jr. and right-hander Dylan Cease are Chicago's biggest trade chips as they look to slash payroll this winter. Robert, 26, is under contract as part of a six-year, $50 million deal he signed in 2019, but he will still be very attractive after winning a Silver Slugger award in 2023. Cease, 27, was the American League Cy Young runner-up in 2022 but struggled to a 4.58 ERA in 2023. He pitched last year on a one-year, $5.7 million contract he signed to avoid arbitration.
