BALLER MOVE: Sit in 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB3
ANALYSIS: Many had high hopes for Miles Sanders this season. The veteran signed a significant free agent contract with the Carolina Panthers in the offseason, making him their new starting running back. Unfortunately, he hasn’t lived up to the hype. Sanders is the RB49 for the year, averaging 5.8 half-point PPR fantasy points per game.
Instead, Chuba Hubbard has become the lead back for the Panthers. The third-year player is the RB39 for the year, averaging seven fantasy points per game. While he has taken over as the starter, the former Oklahoma State star hasn’t been an ideal starting running back for fantasy players. Hubbard has scored more than 8.8 fantasy points only once this year. That performance was in Week 6 against the Miami Dolphins when he had his only rushing touchdown of the season.
Unfortunately, the veteran running back faces a talented Dallas Cowboys defense in Week 11. They have held running backs to only 15.4 fantasy points per game, the ninth-fewest in the NFL. Over their past four matchups, Dallas has surrendered 14.4 fantasy points per game to running backs. Fantasy players should start Hubbard over Sanders but avoid both this week if possible.
