1 year agoMajor League Baseball has tendered status checks on LG Twins closer Woo-Suk Go and 2022 Korean Baseball Organization MVP Jung-hoo Lee. It's a formal administrative step that MLB must take before signing a Korean player. Go is a candidate to be posted by the Twins this offseason, and MLB teams are clearly interested in him. The 25-year-old relief pitcher had a 3.68 ERA, 59 strikeouts and 22 walks in 44 innings in Korea as the Twins' primary closer this past season while also missing time with a lower-back injury. In the last five seasons as the team's primary closer, he has a 2.39 ERA with 139 saves, a 30.2 percent strikeout rate and a 10 percent walk rate.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
