Jaleel McLaughlin Has Eight Touches In Upset Over Bills
1 year agoDenver Broncos rookie running back Jaleel McLaughlin once again took a clear back seat to Javonte Williams in Monday night's upset win over the Buffalo Bills on the road to close out Week 10 action. McLaughlin finished with six carries for only eight yards while catching both of his targets for four yards. Meanwhile, Williams had 25 touches and over 100 scrimmage yards for the first time in 2023 and scored through the air for the second straight game. The 23-year-old McLaughlin has impressed in his first NFL season, but he's the clear second fiddle in Denver's backfield with Williams seeing 55 touches the last two contests after initially being eased into the offense early in the year coming off a major knee injury in 2022. McLaughlin has 14 touches in the last two games and will struggle to deliver as a flex option for fantasy managers as long as Williams sees the lion's share of backfield work for Denver.
