Javonte Williams Sees Heavy Workload, Scores Receiving Touchdown
1 year agoDenver Broncos running back Javonte Williams was given a heavy workload coming off a bye in the 24-22 Monday night win over the Buffalo Bills. Williams had a team-high 21 carries for 79 yards (3.8 yards per carry) while catching all four of his targets for 31 yards and his second touchdown of the year. It was the first time all year he exceeded 100 scrimmage yards. After being eased into the offense early in the year coming off a serious knee injury in 2022, Williams now has 55 touches in the last two games and has scored through the air in both of those contests. The 23-year-old looks to have his legs under him finally and should continue to see 20-plus touches on a weekly basis as the Broncos lean on their ground game. Williams has gone over 75 rushing yards during Denver's three-game win streak. He needs to be locked into starting fantasy lineups for a Week 11 contest against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday night.
