The Los Angeles Chargers drafted wide receiver Quentin Johnston out of TCU with the 21st overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft. He was drafted after Jaxon Smith-Njigba and ahead of Jordan Addison and Zay Flowers.
However, the Chargers wideout has failed to make an impact like other receivers from his draft class. He is off to a very slow start in his NFL career, and despite injuries to other players on the team, he has failed to make an impact.
With Joshua Palmer getting placed on the injured reserve, some fantasy football managers are viewing Johnston as an ideal player to add via waivers. Is he a good pick from the waiver for Week 10? Let's take a look.

Quentin Johnston Week 10 Waiver Wire Outlook
In Week 9, the Chargers defeated the New York Jets 27-6. Justin Herbert didn't play well, as the Jets' defense did their best to limit another elite quarterback. Quentin Johnston finished the game with two receptions for just 14 yards on three targets.
Even in Joshua Palmer and Mike Williams' absence, Johnston's role has not increased in the Chargers offense. He played 70% of the total snaps which accounted to 48 (career high), and despite that, Herbert only trusted Keenan Allen when it came to the passing game.
Both Herbert and head coach Brandon Staley haven't viewed the TCU product as a trustworthy option yet, and it's likely to take more time before Johnston gets more involved in the offense.
Should I Pickup Quentin Johnston in Week 10?
In eight games this season, Quentin Johnston has 14 receptions for 128 yards on 24 targets. He is averaging just three targets per game and is being heavily underutilized by the Chargers.
The AFC West franchise will face the Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, and Baltimore Ravens in their next games, and all these teams are quite good defensively.
With how things have gone so far this season for the 22-year-old wide receiver, he doesn't seem like a good option to pick from the waivers for Week 10. Keenan Allen and Austin Ekeler are expected to be involved much more going forward, and unless Johnston has some extremely good practice sessions, he is unlikely to have a bigger role.
