Adam Fox Lands On Long-Term Injured Reserve
1 year agoNew York Rangers defenseman Adam Fox (lower body) was placed on long-term Injured Reserve on Friday. He was forced to exit Thursday's 2-1 win over Carolina after being involved in a collision with Hurricanes forward Sebastian Aho, and Fox now won't be eligible to play until Nov. 29. He will start a 10-game absence Saturday versus Minnesota. Fox is the leader of the Rangers blue line, and his absence will be felt all over the ice. The two-time All-Star has racked up 11 points (three goals, eight assists) in 10 games this season with 15 shots on goal and 12 blocks. Erik Gustafsson is poised to replace Fox on the first power-play unit, which will give a nice boost to his fantasy stock. The Rangers have the third-best power play in the league with a 32.4 percent efficiency.
