Bismack Biyombo Signs With Memphis
1 year agoFree-agent center Bismack Biyombo agreed to a one-year, $5 million contract with Memphis on Thursday. The journeyman has played for several clubs since entering the league in 2011, making stops in Charlotte, Toronto, Orlando, and Phoenix. He's been intermittently productive over the years, averaging 5.9 rebounds, 5.1 points, and 1.3 blocks. The Grizzlies need help underneath the basket, considering Steven Adams (knee) is done for the year, and Brandon Clarke (Achilles) isn't due back until at least February. Nevertheless, the 31-year-old isn't worth much for fantasy managers, at least not at the moment. But even though Biyombo may get moved once Ja Morant (suspension) returns, the veteran might make a few starts in the next few months, meaning he's worth monitoring for streaming purposes.
