Deshaun Watson Not Expected To Land On Injured Reserve
1 year agoAccording to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson (shoulder) isn't facing a "long-term absence." He also isn't anticipated to land on the injured reserve list. Instead, the signal-caller is considered week-to-week, with Schefter adding that the team will "continue to be cautious." Watson is battling a rotator cuff strain, and although he's already been ruled out for Sunday's meeting with Seattle, it's anyone's guess if he'll be available for Week 9 against Arizona. At any rate, most managers have lost confidence in Watson, considering he's thrown for 683 yards, four touchdowns, and three interceptions while completing just 61.7% of his throws during the 2023-24 campaign. As a result, he likely won't be featured in many fantasy lineups once he returns, although that could change if he turns things around.
