Corbin Carroll Carries Diamondbacks To The World Series
1 year agoArizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll, the likely National League Rookie of the Year in 2023, almost single-handedly led the team to the World Series in a 4-2 win over the Philadelphia Phillies in Game 7 of the NL Championship Series on Tuesday night. Carroll went 3-for-4 with two RBI, two runs scored, two stolen bases and a strikeout in the winner-take-all contest. The 23-year-old sensation came alive when it mattered most, as he had gone just 3-for-24 in the first six games of the NLCS before his breakout performance on Tuesday evening. The dynamic and speedy outfielder has been great overall in his first postseason with the Snakes, hitting .296 (13-for-44) with two home runs, a double, six RBI, seven walks, four stolen bases and nine runs scored in 12 games.
