Evan Carter Moved Up To Three-Hole For Game 3 Of ALCS
1 year agoTexas Rangers rookie outfielder Evan Carter is starting in left field and batting in the third spot for Game 3 of the American League Championship Series on Wednesday against the Houston Astros and right-hander Cristian Javier. Designated hitter Mitch Garver has been moved down to sixth. Carter has mostly hit fifth in the postseason but he has earned a move up while swinging a hot bat in his first taste of the MLB playoffs, hitting .350 (7-for-20) with a home run, four doubles, three RBI, seven walks, a stolen base and four runs scored in seven games played. The 21-year-old took a seat in the Game 2 win with the team facing a southpaw, but he'll be back in there as the Rangers look to take a commanding three games to none lead in the best-of-seven series.
