1 year agoBuffalo Sabres defenseman Mattias Samuelsson failed to complete Tuesday's game against Tampa Bay, exiting with an upper-body injury. He collected his first point of the season in the contest via an assist and logged 17:38 of ice time before going down with the injury. Samuelsson, who plays as Rasmus Dahlin's partner on the first defensive pairing, also registered two blocks in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime win. The 23-year-old has very little upside offensively, which severely limits his fantasy appeal, but he's been a vital cog for the team on the defensive end, and things would definitely get tough for the Sabres without him. Luckily for the team, it appears as though Samuelsson avoided serious injury and is currently considered day-to-day.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
