Yordan Alvarez Dealing With Virus But In Game 2 Lineup
1 year agoHouston Astros outfielder/designated hitter Yordan Alvarez (illness) is dealing with a virus that has caused an upset stomach and headaches, but he is serving as the DH and batting cleanup in Game 2 of the American League Championship Series on Monday against Texas Rangers right-hander Nathan Eovaldi. Alvarez was not part of pre-game introductions in Game 1 on Sunday night, but he played and went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts. He had four homers in his first three playoff games this year, but the left-handed slugger will be more of a risk in DFS in Game 2 if he's feeling under the weather again. Alvarez sees the ball well off Eovaldi in his career, though, going 8-for-11 with three doubles, a homer and four RBI.
