Mike Evans Returns To Practice In Week 6
1 year agoUpdating a previous report, Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans (hamstring) returned to a limited practice on Thursday after missing Wednesday's session. Evans tweaked his hamstring in the Week 4 win over the New Orleans Saints and had last week's bye to rest up, but he's apparently still dealing with the injury and isn't a lock to play in Week 6 against the Detroit Lions. The most important day of practice will be on Friday, so if Evans is able to put in a full practice, he'll have a good chance of playing this Sunday. The 30-year-old has outperformed expectations to this point with quarterback Baker Mayfield running the offense. If he's active, Evans shouldn't be on your bench. If he doesn't gain clearance to suit up, Chris Godwin, rookie Trey Palmer and Deven Thompkins would likely start in three-receiver sets.
