1 year agoHouston Rockets forward Tari Eason is full of ambition ahead of his sophomore campaign and wants to develop into an elite defensive player. "I want to be the best defender in the NBA at some point," Eason told Jonathan Feigen of The Houston Chronicle. "I truly believe I can be. I will be. I just got to work, and the rest will fall into place." Eason showcased his defensive potential with two steals and one block in Tuesday's preseason opener against Indiana. He averaged 1.2 steals and 0.6 blocks in 21.5 minutes coming off the bench during his rookie campaign. Eason is set to remain a bench piece for the Rockets in 2023-24, but he can certainly battle out extra playing time for himself with good defense.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
