Ranger Suarez To Start Game 4 Against Braves
1 year agoPhiladelphia Phillies left-hander Ranger Suarez has been tabbed as the team's starter for Game 4 of the National League Division Series in Philadelphia on Thursday against the division-rival Atlanta Braves. The Phillies have a fresh bullpen behind him, too, so they won't be afraid to pull him early if he's not on his game as the Phils look for the series victory. The 28-year-old Venezuelan southpaw didn't get a win in Game 1 of the series but was solid nonetheless with 3 2/3 shutout innings while giving up only one hit, walking one and striking out four back on Saturday. Suarez also looked good against Atlanta in his lone start against them in the regular season, giving up just one earned run in six innings while walking two and fanning seven. Still, Atlanta's offense can blow up at any moment and really feasted on left-handed pitching all year.
