Caleb Martin Dealing With A Knee Issue
1 year agoAccording to Anthony Chiang of The Miami Herald, Heat forward Caleb Martin (knee) was limited in practice on Saturday. As a result, he may not play in Monday's intrasquad scrimmage. Martin averaged a career-high 9.6 points and 4.8 rebounds in 71 games for the Heat in 2022-23. He was also instrumental to the Heat's success during the postseason by logging 19.3 points per game in the Eastern Conference Finals. The 28-year-old should see a more consistent role throughout the 2023-24 campaign, considering the team lost Max Strus and Gabe Vincent during the offseason. That said, while Martin's current case of tendinosis doesn't sound severe, it's something that could pop up at some point throughout the 2023-24 campaign.
