1 year agoGoaltender Spencer Martin has joined the Columbus Blue Jackets after he was claimed off waivers by the team on Friday. The 28-year-old was waived by the Vancouver Canucks earlier in the week. Martin played 29 games with the Canucks last season but fell behind in the depth chart following the recent acquisition of Casey DeSmith and has now moved on to his third organization. The Blue Jackets needed another goalie, with No. 1 Elvis Merzlikins currently without a proven backup as Daniil Tarasov (knee) is battling injury.
