Juan Soto Hits Two Homers In Win Over Giants
1 year agoSan Diego Padres outfielder Juan Soto was feeling it at the plate on Tuesday in the team's 4-0 shutout win over the division-rival San Francisco Giants. Soto finished the contest 3-for-4 with two home runs, three RBI, two runs scored and a walk to bring the Padres even with the Giants in the standings at 78-80 on the year. It's been an extremely disappointing season for the Friars overall, but the 24-year-old Soto has been plenty productive with a .276/.410/.524 slash line, .935 OPS, 35 home runs, 108 RBI, 11 stolen bases and 94 runs scored in 557 at-bats in his first full year in San Diego. His 128 walks lead the league. Soto has really turned it on late, too, going 31-for-86 (.361) with 10 homers, five doubles, 28 RBI, five steals and 23 runs scored in 23 starts in September.
