Luis Robert Jr.'s Season Could Be Over
1 year agoChicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert Jr. (knee) could be headed to the injured list with outfielder Tyler Naquin expected to join the team this week from Triple-A Charlotte. Robert, who has played in 145 games this year, left Sunday's game against the Boston Red Sox with a sore left knee, although it's not believed to be serious. However, with less than a week in the 2023 season, Robert would miss the rest of the year if he goes on the injured list. The 26-year-old has had a breakout season for the Pale Hose this year, slashing .264/.315/.542 with an .857 OPS while setting career-highs in home runs (38), doubles (36), RBI (80), stolen bases (20) and runs scored (90) in 595 plate appearances as a first-time All-Star.
