1 year agoSan Jose Sharks center Logan Couture is week-to-week after sustaining a lower-body injury. The veteran pivot will obviously not be participating in training camp for some time while his status for opening night on Oct. 12 is up in the air. The Sharks' captain is coming off a season that saw him tally 27 goals and 67 points while skating in all 82 regular-season games. However, much of that production came alongside 40-goal scorer Timo Meier who was dealt to the New Jersey Devils prior to the trade deadline last spring. Given his early-season injury and the utter lack of offensive talent surrounding him in San Jose, expect Couture's production to slip while he should be left alone until the later rounds of fantasy drafts.--Brenton Kemp
