Anthony Richardson Will Continue To Run, Per Offensive Coordinator
1 year agoIndianapolis Colts rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson (concussion) will continue to run despite suffering a concussion in Week 2 against the Houston Texans. Colts offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter told Nate Atkins of The Indy Star that the QB run game and scramble will always be a part of Richardson's game but the rookie signal caller needs to take fewer risks when it comes to finishing his runs. "This league comes at you fast," Cooter added. This is an encouraging signal for fantasy managers, who are relying on the bulk of Richardson's production to come from his feet. However, if he continues to take big hits, the Colts may try to scale back his rushing attempts in an attempt to limit the injury risk to their franchise quarterback.
