Carlos Correa Sitting On Tuesday
1 year agoMinnesota Twins shortstop Carlos Correa (foot) is not in the starting lineup Tuesday night against the Cincinnati Reds. Correa departed Monday's series opener in Cincinnati after aggravating his plantar fasciitis in his left foot before even recording a single plate appearance and should get as much time as he needs to recover with a playoff spot all but locked up in a weak American League Central division. The veteran has dealt with his foot issue for much of the season while he has underperformed at the plate in the process. Correa is hitting just .230 with 18 home runs and a .711 OPS across 135 games on the season with his 96 wRC+ sitting as a career-low outside of the 94 mark he posted during the shortened 2020 campaign.
