Chase McLaughlin Knocks Down Two Kicks
1 year agoTampa Bay Buccaneers kicker Chase McLaughlin was given a chance to win the starting gig in camp after an impressive season in 2022. McLaughlin did enough to earn himself the starting kicker position to begin the season in Tampa Bay. He knocked down both his field goal attempts during the season opener. He took a bit of a step back on Sunday versus the Chicago Bears. McLaughlin made 2-of-3 field goal attempts in the victory over Chicago. His longest attempt of the game was 26 yards, so he really wasn't asked to stretch his leg in this one. McLaughlin also connected on all his extra point attempts as well. He seems to be a fairly reliable kicker, but the Bucs offense has tougher challenges ahead. McLaughlin won't be a recommended option against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 3.
