Tyler Allgeier Fantasy Football Outlook
Although Allgeier operated as the Falcons' No. 2 running back last week versus Carolina, he still rewarded fantasy managers by logging 18 touches, 94 scrimmage yards, and two total touchdowns. He finished with an impressive 24.4 points in PPR leagues and has emerged as an intriguing option ahead of Week 2.
What makes Allgeier so appealing is the Falcons' commitment to using their running backs. Atlanta dialed up a run on 54.17 percent of its plays last week, which was the fourth-most in the NFL. In addition to their reliance on the ground game, Robinson and Allgeier combined for nine receptions, making their presence felt through the air. While the return of Cordarrelle Patterson (thigh) does add another weapon to the mix, there is still plenty of volume to go around for both Robinson and Allgeier to thrive.
Tyler Allgeier Running Back Rankings Analysis
The RotoBaller experts are excited about Allgeier in preparation for Week 2, ranking him 55th overall and 27th among running backs. He is listed as "trending up" in rankings, a reflection of the analysts' increased faith in the Falcons' rushing attack.

Should I Start Tyler Allgeier In Week 2 Fantasy Football?
Fantasy managers were justified in being cautious with Allgeier in Week 1 since it remained unclear just how much he'd be utilized. Heading into Week 2, though, there are plenty of reasons to be bullish about the running back's outlook. The Falcons could lead the league in running back opportunities, and Allgeier has shown an ability to deliver significant production despite the addition of Robinson.
Fantasy managers should deploy Allgeier as a low-end RB2 or high-end RB3/FLEX play this weekend, especially in a matchup versus the Packers that could see him and Robinson earn significant work in both the rushing and passing attacks.
