Triston Casas Scratched From Saturday's Lineup
1 year agoBoston Red Sox first baseman Triston Casas (shoulder) was scratched from Saturday's starting lineup against the Toronto Blue Jays for the second straight day due to a sore shoulder. Justin Turner is now starting at first base and will bat third against Blue Jays right-hander Chris Bassitt. Masataka Yoshida is the designated hitter, Adam Duvall will start in left field and rookie Wilyer Abreu enters the lineup in center field. The 23-year-old Casas is considered day-to-day and should return to the lineup soon, possibly on Sunday for the series finale. In his first full big-league campaign, Casas has provided plenty of power for fantasy managers with 24 long balls and 65 RBI in his 429 at-bats for the BoSox as their regular first baseman.
