Cordarrelle Patterson A Full Participant In Practice
1 year agoAtlanta Falcons running back/wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson (thigh) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. Patterson was held out of the Week 1 win over the Carolina Panthers with a soft-tissue injury in his thigh, but he's clearly improved and should be able to make his 2023 debut in Week 2 this Sunday against the visiting Green Bay Packers, barring a setback later this week. The Falcons now have rookie first-rounder Bijan Robinson and second-year back Tyler Allgeier ahead of Patterson on the depth chart, so the 32-year-old veteran will operate in more of a joker hybrid role as the Falcons look to use his versatility as a ball-carrier and pass-catcher to their advantage. While Patterson still has big-play ability, this new role isn't likely to yield much in terms of consistent fantasy production.
