1 year agoArizona Diamondbacks second baseman Ketel Marte (knee) was removed early during Saturday's game against the Chicago Cubs. The 29-year-old fouled a ball off his knee during the opening frame. He remained in the contest, but was ultimately lifted in the seventh inning due to an apparent knee issue. The expectation is that Marte will undergo further testing to determine the severity of the injury. Geraldo Perdomo entered the contest after Marte exited, so he could see more playing time, assuming Marte misses time.
