Ben Simmons Expects To Be "All-Star Caliber" Player Again
1 year agoBrooklyn Nets guard/forward Ben Simmons is apparently looking to return with a bang in 2023-24, with ESPN's Marc J. Spears reporting that he's hoping to get back to All-Star form. "He's talking about being an All-Star again. He said in some workouts in Miami he put the ball through his legs and dunked," Spears said earlier this week on NBA Today. "He expects to be healthy and that he will play in the first game this season. And that All-Star caliber player, he expects that player to be back." Simmons has been getting a lot of slack from NBA fans and media in recent years, but he showcased himself as a player with a unique skillset when he was at his best, earning three straight All-Star selections from 2019 to 2021. Simmons averaged 15.9 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 7.5 assists during the three-year spell, and it looks like we could see him put up similar numbers in the upcoming campaign.
