Chase McLaughlin Not Recommended For Week 1
1 year agoTampa Bay Buccaneers kicker Chase McLaughlin won the kicking competition during camp and opens the season as the starter. The 27-year-old outlasted Rodrigo Blankenship with a stellar showing in the final preseason game. McLaughlin knocked down 30-of-36 field goal attempts for an impressive 83.3% last season with the Indianapolis Colts. He appears to be a reliable kicking option, but his fantasy value will be tied to the success of this offense. An offensive unit that is lead by newcomer Baker Mayfield. There could certainly be a learning curve here for this offense, so there might not be a ton of success right away. That being said, fantasy managers should be able to find another kicker with a better offense to start the season.
