Welcome to our PrizePicks MLB DFS prop picks for Thursday, September 7, 2023. PrizePicks Over/Under DFS Props Contests

PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game.

The second game is known as Single Stat. For the MLB, Single Stat consists of pitcher strikeout props in which you determine if the pitcher in question will go over or under their projected strikeout total.

You can mix and match players from different types of games in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Let's see what the board offers today!

Eduardo Rodriguez more than 5.5 strikeouts

Eduardo Rodriguez has a solid matchup in terms of strikeout potential tonight against the Yankees. Over the previous three weeks, New York is posting the highest K rate against left-handers with a rate of 28.6%. Meanwhile, Rodriguez has struck out at least six batters in eight of his previous 12 starts. The only risk here is Rodriguez getting popped as the Yankees are also posting a 132 wRC+ mark against left-handers over that same three-week span.

Max Fried more than 5.5 strikeouts

Fried will be up against the St. Louis Cardinals in this one, who are posting the ninth-highest K rate vs. left-handers over the previous three weeks with a rate of 24.4%. They are also struggling offensively as noted by their wRC+ mark of 68 over that same span. Fried has managed to strike out at least six batters in four of his six starts since coming off of the IL back on August 4th.

Luis Castillo less than 7.0 strikeouts

This number will likely drop to 6.5 at some point today, so it will be a good idea to get this one in early. Castillo has only eclipsed this number in two of his previous six starts. He has also only eclipsed this number in three of his 12 road starts in 2023. He will be up against a tough Rays' offense that is posting a wRC+ mark of 127 against right-handers over the previous three weeks as well as a walk rate of 8.2%.
