Shaquille Harrison Could Have Role To Play For Grizzlies Early On
1 year agoMemphis Grizzlies guard Shaquille Harrison could see regular action early on in the season due to Ja Morant's 25-game suspension. Damichael Cole of The Commercial Appeal has noted that according to the NBA collective bargaining agreement, any player suspended more than six games will be put on the team's suspended list after five. That will open a roster spot, and Harrison could be the one to benefit and add more depth to the Grizzlies lineup. The 29-year-old has seen very little action in the NBA in recent seasons and suited up for just five regular-season games in 2022-23 after the Trail Blazers gave him a run on a 10-day contract. Harrison has averaged 5.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.0 steals for his NBA career, so he won't set the world alight, but the versatile veteran, who can play both guard positions, could provide some useful minutes for the Grizzlies.
