Mason Miller To Come Off Injured List This Week
1 year agoOakland Athletics manager Mark Kotsay said that the team is looking to activate rookie right-hander Mason Miller (elbow) from the injured list at some point this week. Miller looked good in a minor-league rehab start with Triple-A Las Vegas on Sunday, throwing three scoreless innings while striking out four, and the A's feel that he's ready to return to their starting rotation for the stretch run. The 25-year-old might face some restrictions in his first start back in the big leagues since early May because of a right-UCL sprain, but he could help fantasy managers in deeper mixed leagues to close out the year. Before his injury, Miller had impressed in his first four major-league starts, posting a 3.38 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 22 strikeouts in 21 1/3 frames.
