1 year agoDetroit Tigers shortstop Javier Baez is back in Saturday's starting lineup versus the Chicago White Sox. The right-handed slugger is back in the lineup after missing each of the last three games. It doesn't appear that Baez is dealing with an injury, so possibly his absence is due to his struggles at the plate. The Tigers aren't in the playoff picture, so maybe they want to give at-bats to younger players as they look towards the 2024 season. On Saturday, Baez will bat eighth and cover shortstop versus right-hander Mike Clevinger. Fantasy managers who have Baez rostered can go ahead and get him back in their lineups.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
