Jorge Soler Still Hurting
1 year agoMiami Marlins outfielder/designated hitter Jorge Soler (hip) remains out of action on Friday as the team takes on the Washington Nationals. Jake Burger is serving as the designated hitter and batting third, while Jesus Sanchez is in right field and hitting sixth against Nationals right-hander Jake Irvin. Soler was pulled from Tuesday's game early due to right-hip tightness after a swing and a miss, and he'll remain day-to-day heading into the weekend. Fantasy managers will want to check back on Saturday to see if he's back in there. When active, the 31-year-old right-hander has been a must-start in fantasy lineups for his elite power stroke. The Marlins said he could have been available to pinch hit on Thursday, so he must be getting close to a return.
