Nathan Eovaldi To Throw Another Bullpen Friday
1 year agoTexas Rangers right-hander Nathan Eovaldi (forearm) threw a "light bullpen" on Wednesday in New York, which manager Bruce Bochy said went well. Eovaldi will throw a "much heavier 'pen" on Friday when the team returns to Texas. "We'll wait and see how it goes, and we expect it to go fine," Bochy said. "We expect him to come out of it fine and we'll make a decision." Eovaldi had a setback on Aug. 27 when Bochy said he was feeling tightness in his side after a bullpen session. The Rangers are just being cautious with the All-Star, who has gone 11-3 with a 2.69 ERA in 2023. He's been out since July 27 with a right-forearm strain. The 33-year-old deserves to be stashed in all fantasy formats, but he's running out of time to make an impact before the end of the season.
