Dodgers Send Ryan Pepiot Down
1 year agoThe Los Angeles Dodgers optioned right-hander Ryan Pepiot to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday and activated right-hander Shelby Miller (neck) from the 60-day injured list in a corresponding move. Pepiot picked up his first win of the season in his first start of the year on Wednesday, when he tossed five scoreless innings with only two hits allowed, a walk and three strikeouts. The 26-year-old will surely be back with the Dodgers at some point for the stretch run as a swingman. Pepiot has only thrown 14 innings in the big leagues this year, but he's been great with a 1.29 ERA, 0.71 WHIP and 14 strikeouts in 14 innings over his three games (one start). The 32-year-old Miller is returning for the first time since June. He, too, has been solid out of the bullpen for LA this year with a 2.40 ERA and 31 K's in 30 innings.
