Julio Rodriguez Expected To Return This Weekend
1 year agoSeattle Mariners president of baseball operations Jerry Dipoto is optimistic that outfielder Julio Rodriguez (foot) will return this weekend against the New York Mets. Rodriguez was scratched from Tuesday's lineup with a nerve issue in his left foot and was also held out on Wednesday as a precaution, but it sounds as though the 22-year-old All-Star will be able to play at some point this weekend after another off day on Thursday. It's great news for the Mariners and fantasy managers alike, as the Dominican outfielder just wrapped up one of the best months you'll ever see from a hitter. In 23 starts, J-Rod went 45-for-105 (.429) with a whopping seven home runs, 10 doubles, 30 RBI, 11 stolen bases and 19 runs scored. Get him back into all starting fantasy lineups when he returns to Seattle's lineup.
