Nathan Eovaldi Feels Tightness In His Side
1 year agoTexas Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said that right-hander Nathan Eovaldi (forearm, side) felt tightness in his side after his latest bullpen session. There is nothing wrong with Eovaldi's arm, but the team is being cautious with the All-Star. Eovaldi was slated to play catch before the team's game on Sunday, had a "great" bullpen session on Aug. 24 but reported some tightness in his side. The Rangers have decided he'll throw another bullpen on Tuesday in New York. The 33-year-old has been out since July 27 with a right-forearm strain. The Rangers are still unsure if he'll return straight to the starting rotation or if he'll go on a minor-league rehab assignment. Regardless, he should remain stashed in all fantasy formats, as he's gone 11-3 this year with a 2.69 ERA.
