Colts Release Kenyan Drake
1 year agoThe Indianapolis Colts released veteran running back Kenyan Drake on Sunday, according to a source. Drake really must not have impressed the team's coaching staff during training camp and the preseason, as they could use all the running back depth they can get with Jonathan Taylor (ankle) and Zack Moss (arm) both injured. With the 29-year-old now back on the free-agent market, Deon Jackson, Evan Hull and Jake Funk will serve as depth for Indy in the RB room behind Taylor, who could be traded, and Moss. Drake, a former third-rounder in 2016 by the Miami Dolphins, has played for three different teams (Cardinals, Raiders, Ravens) in the last three seasons. In 12 games (five starts) in 2022, he had 109 carries for 482 yards and four TDs with Baltimore.
