Demario Douglas Could Be No. 3 Receiver
1 year agoThe Athletic's Chad Graff writes that New England Patriots rookie sixth-round wide receiver Demario Douglas has been the team's most pleasant training camp surprise this summer. Douglas has seen more snaps with the starters in recent practices than 2022 second-rounder Tyquan Thornton and has a chance to take playing time away from veteran Kendrick Bourne as well. If he continues to progress, the 22-year-old could end his rookie campaign in 2023 as the team's No. 3 receiver. The Patriots offense should be able to improve on the disaster that was last year, but until we see more from Douglas in games that count, he'll mostly just be an intriguing dynasty league stash.
