Brandon Belt Homers Again In Losing Effort
1 year agoToronto Blue Jays first baseman Brandon Belt went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and a strikeout in the team's 5-3 loss to the division-rival Baltimore Orioles on Thursday. Belt now has four home runs in his last four games to bring his season total to 15 through 301 at-bats in his first year in Toronto. In the month of August he's been on a tear, going 20-for-63 (.318) with seven long balls, four doubles, 11 RBI and 16 runs scored in 18 games (17 starts). Fantasy managers are going to want to keep the 35-year-old in their starting lineups while he continues to swing a hot bat. Overall in 2023, he's slashing .256/.372/.478 with an .851 OPS, 37 RBI and 46 runs scored in 91 games played.
