Browns Restructure Myles Garrett's Contract
1 year agoThe Cleveland Browns restructured the contract of defensive end Myles Garrett on Monday, creating $12.868 million in salary cap space for the 2023 season, according to a source. The Browns now have close to $34 million in cap space this year, which is easily the most in the league. It's curious timing after the Indianapolis Colts gave All-Pro running back Jonathan Taylor permission to seek a trade on Monday. The Browns already have Nick Chubb as their bell-cow back on early downs, but don't rule them out from adding Taylor to beef up their depth behind Chubb. Garrett, meanwhile, has 32 sacks in the last two seasons and is a top-five defensive lineman target in IDP fantasy leagues.
