Parker Meadows Making MLB Debut Against Cubs
1 year agoDetroit Tigers outfield prospect Parker Meadows is starting in center field and is batting sixth in his major-league debut on Monday against the visiting Chicago Cubs and right-hander Javier Assad. The team's No. 10 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, hit .256 (115-for-449) with 19 home runs, 27 doubles, seven triples, 65 RBI, 19 stolen bases and 78 runs scored in 113 games for Triple-A Toledo to earn his first call-up to the big leagues. The 23-year-old left-handed hitter is the younger brother of Tigers outfielder Austin Meadows, and he expected to play regularly down the stretch in Detroit. In at least deep-mixed fantasy leagues, he's worth picking up for his power-speed profile.
