Jaleel McLaughlin Scores Twice In Loss To 49ers
1 year agoDenver Broncos rookie running back Jaleel McLaughlin continued to impress in the team's 21-20 preseason loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday night. McLaughlin led the Broncos backfield with seven carries for 45 yards and a touchdown while also catching both of his targets for eight yards and another score in the passing game. The 22-year-old undrafted rookie out of Youngstown State stands at just 5-foot-7, 187 pounds, but he has impressed head coach Sean Payton during training camp and has now also produced in game action. It remains to be seen if he'll earn a roster spot heading into training camp as RB depth behind Javonte Williams and Samaje Perine. McLaughlin is competing with Tony Jones Jr., Tyler Badie and Dwayne Washington.
